Introduction

HANAKAPPA is an edutainment pre-school animation that gives children dreams and hope, broadcasting on NHK from March 2010.

HANAKAPPA is created by Tadashi Akiyama, illustrator of award winning children's picture books.

Synopsis

 The Kappa family with a flower blooming on   their heads lives in a deep inside a green forest.

Grandpa blooms "Lotus".  Granma blooms "Babys-breath".  Daddy blooms "Sunflower".  Mommy blooms "Dandelion".

And then, on HANAKAPPA's head, "For-the-time-being flower" is blooming now.  Until he becomes a grown-up many kids of flowers will have bloom on his head.  Among those flowers, "Orchid Young" may bloom.  Eating this flower will bring back your youth...and a villain, "KUROHANEYA" is looking for the flower causing chaos and trouble at the village in the forest.
